DESCRIPTION:Friday July 5th\, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.\, I will be performing my monthly 40-minute concert and hosting  the open mic in the Napoleon Room piano bar at Club Café 209 Columbus Avenue\, Boston\, MA. \n\n\nThe theme for this event is “These Are Our Heros.” I’m extending\n pride month for one extra week with this theme\n\nAll of the songs sung on this evening will be songs written\, composed or performed by a Gay Icon or gay friendly artists. There are many so I am including a list of gay icons and gay friendly artists to choose from. You can do any song by any of the people on the list below.\n\nGay Icons & gay friendly artists:\nFreddie Mercury\, Elton John\, Barry Manilow\, David Bowie\, George Michaels\, Boy George\, Ricky Martin\, Cole Porter\, Johnny Mathis\, Leonard Bernstein\, Prince \, Luther Vandross\, Adam Lambert\, Village People\, RuPaul\, Frank Ocean\, Little Richard\, Pet Shop Boys\, B-52’s\, Cher\, Lady Gaga\, Brittany\, Madonna\, Jennifer Holiday\, Judy Garland\, Liza Minnelli\, Bette Midler\, Dolly Parton\, Patti LaBelle\, Whitney Houston\, Barbra Streisand\, Cyndi Lauper\, Diana Ross\, KD Lang\, Pink\, Tina Turner\, Donna Summers\, Annie Lennox\, Joan Jett\, Tracy Chapman\, Janet Jackson\, Mariah Carey\n\nI will perform a mini concert for 40 minutes and then we’ll take a short break and open the mic to all singers who have signed up to sing. We ask that all singers contact me in advance and tell me the songs you plan to sing. You will need to have one up-tempo/fast selection and one moderate or slow ballad. We do it this way so that the performances aren’t all slow songs for the entire evening. There are many songs to choose from the list of artists provided.\n\nThis is our chance for a Pride Month extension I’m going out on a high note with one more big bang show. I strongly encourage you to make your reservation NOW! The room is cozy and has limited seating and the June show sold out quickly. To celebrate Pride Month & Pride Weekend for Boston my theme for June is: “I Am What I Am “\nSo how the theme works is simple: all the songs sung in the room for this night will be songs with a gay subject matter or anything written\, composed or performed by a LGBTQ artist. As well as any songs with one of these chosen words that represent things dealing with gay pride & gay rights\, their struggle or issues. The chosen words are as follows: Gay\, Drag\, Queen\, Unity\, Beautiful\, Blessed/Blessing\, Hero\, Struggle\, Strength/Strong\,  Support\, Winner\, Fight/Fighter\, Power/Powerful\, Together & Encourage \n \nI will perform a mini concert for 45 minutes out front and then we’ll take a short break and then we will open the room up to all singers who have signed up to sing. I will be accompanied that night on the piano by the amazing Bill Duffy and he will be the one playing for all the singers for the open mic as well. We ask that all singers contact me in advance and tell me the songs you would like to sing. You will need to have one up-tempo/fast selection and one moderate or slow ballad. We do it this way so that the room is not all slow songs for the entire evening.
